Job summary

Johnson Controls Building Technologies and Solutions Malaysia is seeking a BIM CAD Engineer to collaborate with Project Management and Construction teams to produce highly detailed BIM drawings using CAD and Revit.

You will manage BIM standards, provide drafting support, and liaise with engineers to capture system requirements. Expect coordination meetings, strict adherence to specifications, and the ability to manage multiple projects with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree or equivalent is required.
• Proven proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed BIM drawings with CAD/BIM tools.
• Coordinate BIM standards development and implementation.
• Attend coordination meetings and liaise with engineers for system requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with specifications and regulations.
• Prepare both rough sketches and detailed CAD/Revit work.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Troubleshoot BIM-related issues and support project teams.

What you will do:

Work closely with our Project Management and Construction teams to utilize BIM modeling to create drawings that are of the highest level of detail and accuracy.

How you will do it:

• Manage and coordinate BIM standards development, implementation, and quality on all related files and models
• Provide CAD drafting/BIM modeling support, attend coordination meeting
• Liaising with engineers to gather system requirements and designs
• Following specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings.
• Preparing both rough sketches and detailed work with CAD & Revit systems.
• Preparing, reviewing and redrafting alongside the project team.
• Ensuring final designs are compliant with regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple ongoing and complex projects while being able to successfully meet the requirements
• Troubleshoot any BIM related issues
• Manage BIM project benchmarks to meet project deadlines
• Contribute to the documentation, dissemination and monitoring of standards, best practices, and industry advancements

What we look for:

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/ Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• Candidates with Knowledge of in a related industry (Security, BMS, ELV etc.) are preferred
• Advanced skills in MS Office and Autodesk software such as AutoCAD,Revit etc
• Must demonstrate the ability to perform work independently and demonstrate solid organizational and attention to detail skills.
• Good written in English and Bahasa and verbal communication skills with both internal and external.
• Good interpersonal and communication with both internal and external.Strong team player and ability to multi-task
• Willing to travel frequently.
