Job summary

BIG Pharmacy is seeking a Sales Assistant/Pharmacy Assistant for our Hulu Langat outlets. You will assist customers with product information, display products, and help manage stock while handling payments.

The role involves cash/card transactions, inventory duties, and keeping shelves tidy with up-to-date promotions. Training is provided and career progression opportunities are available within a growing pharmacy chain.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail pharmacy or customer-facing roles preferred.
• Able to handle cash transactions and balance cash register.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customers.

Responsibilities

• Attend to customers, provide product information, help them find items and offer advice on product selection.
• Ensure product visibility and proper display, implement FEFO/FIFO inventory practices.
• Receive goods, store deliveries, and assist in stock control.
• Process cash and card payments accurately and balance cash with receipts.
• Respond to customer inquiries and handle complaints by directing to the pharmacy team.
• Attach price tags and stay updated on promotions to create appealing displays.

Duties/Responsibilities (Training Provided)

Customer Assistance: Attend to customers, providing product information, helping them find what they need, and offering advice on product selection.

Product Display: Ensure product visibility and proper display, implementing FEFO and FIFO practices for inventory management.

Inventory Management: Receive incoming goods, store deliveries appropriately, and assist in stock control and management.

Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries and complaints, referring them to the appropriate pharmacy team member when necessary.

Promotions and Pricing: Attach price tags to products, stay updated on special promotions, and create appealing displays.

Payment Processing: Process cash and card payments accurately and balance the cash register with receipts.
