Job summary

Mah Sing Group Berhad is seeking a Manager/Senior Executive - BI Analyst (IT) to act as an internal consultant, solving business challenges through data. You will gather requirements, design data ecosystems, build automated reporting and dashboards, and translate insights into actionable business cases for senior leaders.

The role requires strong ETL, SQL, and programming skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality BI solutions from Wisma MahSing, Jalan Sungai Besi, KL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field required.
• 3–5 years of experience in BI/IT roles.
• Experience with Power BI and MS SQL Server.
• Strong understanding of ETL and data integration.
• Programming experience in Python/R/C/C++ is a plus.
• Must work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements from stakeholders to understand business needs.
• Translate requirements into measurable metrics and design data ecosystems for automated reporting.
• Create reports and dashboards to automate metric extraction.
• Analyze data to uncover trends and insights for business problems.
• Present analyses and business cases to decision-makers.
• Extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources.
• Apply statistical analysis or ML modeling to identify patterns.
• Implement and optimize BI solutions across the organization.
• Collaborate with team to analyze systems and processes.
• Develop ad-hoc or automated reports and refine for business needs.
• Conduct handovers to empower end-users on BI tools.
• Create and maintain documentation of implemented work.
