Job summary

Ditrolic Energy in Malaysia invites applications for a BESS Project Site Supervisor to oversee on-site deployment of Battery Energy Storage Systems. You will coordinate installation activities, manage contractors, ensure safety and quality, secure site approvals, and provide timely progress updates.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and have 3–5 years of site supervision experience in electrical infrastructure or renewables, with knowledge of MV/LV systems,

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of site supervision experience in electrical infrastructure or renewables.
• Knowledge of MV/LV electrical systems, battery systems, inverters and PCS, transformers and switchgear, and SCADA integration.
• Ability to read electrical single-line diagrams, layouts and construction drawings.
• Experience with testing and commissioning procedures.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on experience deploying Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) preferred.
• HSE certifications (NIOSH, CIDB Green Card, First Aid, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily BESS installation activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate and monitor EPC contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and commissioning teams.
• Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality, timelines and HSE compliance.
• Resolve day-to-day site issues and escalate risks to the Project Manager.
• Obtain and coordinate necessary site permits, inspections, approvals, and clearances.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports; maintain site records.

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated BESS Project Site Supervisor to oversee the on‑site deployment of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating installation activities, managing contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements, securing necessary site approvals, and providing timely project progress updates. This role is ideal for candidates with hands‑on experience in utility‑scale or commercial & industrial (C&I) electrical projects and a passion for supporting the energy transition.

Key responsibilities

Supervise daily BESS installation activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to approved engineering drawings and project specifications

Coordinate and monitor the performance of EPC contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and commissioning teams

Conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, project timelines, and HSE requirements

Resolve day‑to‑day site issues and elevate critical risks to the Project Manager

Obtain and coordinate all necessary site permits, inspections, approvals, and authority clearances

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports

Maintain accurate records including site diaries, inspection reports, punch lists, and as‑built documentation

Ensure strict compliance with HSE regulations and company safety procedures

Coordinate system testing, commissioning activities, and performance verification

Support troubleshooting during energisation and commissioning

About you

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline

Minimum 3–5 years of site supervision experience in electrical infrastructure, renewable energy, or industrial projects

Knowledge of MV/LV electrical systems, battery systems, inverters and PCS, transformers and switchgear, and SCADA integration

Ability to interpret electrical single‑line diagrams, layouts, and construction drawings

Familiarity with testing and commissioning procedures

Strong project management capabilities

Experienced with contractor coordination and stakeholder management skills

Hands‑on experience deploying Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is highly preferred

Additional HSE certifications (NIOSH, CIDB Green Card, First Aid, etc.).
