Job summary

Regent Kuala Lumpur, operated by IHG, seeks a Director of Banquet Operations to lead all banquet and events activities, from initial inquiry through final departure. The role blends strategic oversight with hands-on leadership to ensure flawless execution of meetings, conferences, weddings and special occasions.

The successful candidate will manage staffing, budgets, and guest satisfaction, while upholding Regent service standards and safety protocols across all banquet spaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field.
• 6–8 years in banquet/events operations with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of banquet service and event management.
• Fluent English; other languages an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and motivate the Banquet team to achieve operational excellence.
• Develop staffing schedules based on events and business volume.
• Ensure banquet operations meet BEOs and Regent standards.
• Drive revenue through upselling and efficiency improvements.
• Oversee safety, hygiene, and inventory for banquet facilities.
