Job summary

Private Advertiser in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced baker to oversee bakery operations and lead a baking team in a fast-paced environment.

You will plan, prepare and ensure top-quality baked goods, while maintaining strict safety and hygiene standards to protect passenger health and uphold airline quality expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years baking experience.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Awareness of Halal guidelines; HACCP certification is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Flexible to work various shifts including early mornings, nights and weekends.
• Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification.

Responsible for assisting the bakery operation, ensuring high quality baked goods are produced efficiently, managing the baking team and maintaining compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

Key responsibilities

Plan and prepare variety of baked goods such as bread, pastries, cakes and other specialty items

Assist kitchen employees to ensure that all foods is prepared to the highest standard

Maintain strict quality control measures for food presentation, flavor and consistency, ensuring the meals meet the airline's expectation

Ensure adherence to food safety regulations such as proper storage, transportation and preparation to prevent contamination and ensure passenger health

Collaborate with suppliers and logistics

About you

Proven experience as baker with at least 5 years of baking experience

Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulation, Halal regulations (HACCP certified is a plus)

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Creative and passionate about food with strong attention to details

Excellent organizational and leadership skills

Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and communicate effectively with all level

Flexibility to work various shifts, including early morning, late night and weekends
