Job summary

Cashku is building an AI-powered fintech platform in Malaysia. You will own and extend the investment backend powering fund order management, NAV reconciliation, and compliance workflows.

You’ll design RESTful APIs in Go, integrate with external fund managers, and implement human-in-the-loop AI approval and secure access controls. You will work across the backend stack, focus on data models, scale, and reliability, and collaborate closely with frontend teams and operations.

Cashku (Advisonomics Sdn Bhd) is a regulated Malaysian Fintech — an AI-powered investment advisory platform and brand designed to make wealth management accessible to every Malaysian. Under the Cashku brand, our products include a consumer mobile app (Flutter) serving everyday investors and an enterprise operations platform (Go/Next.js) powering fund order management, NAV reconciliation, and regulatory compliance for the institutional side. The Role

You will own and extend our investment platform: the backend poweringCashku’sfund order management, NAV reconciliation, AI-powered compliance workflows, and enterprise integrations.You’lldesign and build RESTful APIs that serve both the Flutter mobile app and the Next.js operations portal, integrate with multiple Unit Trust Management Companies (UTMCs), and implement human-in-the-loop AI approval workflows.

The platform is built in Go. We value backend depth over any single language — if you come from another typed, statically compiled language and are excited to work in Go,we’llsupport your ramp-up.

WhatYou’llDo

• Design and build RESTful APIs in Go (Gin) serving both mobile and web consumers, including endpoints for AI features — conversational advisory context, fund comparison, portfolio health scoring, performance attribution, and smart alerts.
• Build andmaintainintegrations with multiple UTMCs for automated NAV price fetching and fund order processing.
• Implement the human-in-the-loop workflow engine — from AI analysis to task creation, human review, and execution.
• Develop the compliance reporting pipeline (Suspicious Transaction Reports, Anti-Money-Laundering, quarterly regulatory filings) with a complete audit trail.
• Design database schemas for orders, funds, investors, holdings, AI tasks, and reconciliation records.
• Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and OAuth 2.0 / OIDC authorization with Microsoft Entra ID, including JWT token management.
• Uphold security and auditability standards — TLS 1.3, AES-256 encryption at rest, structured logging, and complete audit trails (supporting our SOC 2 Type II posture).

WhatWe’reLooking For

• 5+ years building production backend services and high-traffic APIs in a typed, statically compiled language — Go, Java, Rust, C#, or TypeScript. (Go experience is a plus; willingness to make Go your primary language is expected.)
• Deep PostgreSQLexpertise: schema design, queryoptimisation, migrations, and connection pooling.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs in regulated or financial contexts (payment gateways, fund platforms, banking APIs).
• Hands-on OAuth 2.0 / OIDC and JWT authorization — implementation, not just consumption.
• AWS infrastructure experience (EC2, RDS, S3).
• A demonstrated ability todesign forauditability: structured logging, encryption at rest and in transit, and access control.

Nice to Have

• Experience in fintech, capital markets, or fund management platforms.
• Knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations (Securities Commission Malaysia, AML/CFT requirements).
• Experience with Amazon Bedrock or other managed AI/ML services for backend integration.
• Familiarity with reconciliation systems, NAV pricing workflows, or UTMC / fund-manager integration protocols.
• Familiarity with Next.js / React for understanding frontend API consumption patterns.
