Job summary

MHA Consultancy Services Sdn Bhd is hiring a Junior Back-End Developer in Malaysia to join our IT software house. You will work on personal loan systems and in-house platforms, focusing on efficiency, performance, and seamless integrations.

Key tasks include building and maintaining backend features with PHP Laravel, optimizing SQL queries, and designing RESTful APIs for internal and external use. Familiarity with Node.js or Python and MongoDB is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Diploma in software-related field required.
• 1+ year hands-on PHP Laravel backend experience preferred.
• Proficient in MySQL with complex queries and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and version control best practices.
• Knowledge of Node.js or Python.
• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB is a plus.
• Experience building AI chatbot apps or integrating external APIs is an advantage.

We are looking for a Junior Back-End Developer with hands-on experience in PHP Laravel to join our IT team. You will work on projects involving personal loan systems and other in-house platforms, ensuring efficiency, performance, and seamless integration.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain backend features using PHP Laravel.

Optimise SQL queries to improve system performance.

Design and implement RESTful APIs for frontend and third-party integrations.

Participate in projects such as in-house chat applications, finance & accounting systems, data integrations, and external API connections.

Stay proactive in learning new skills and technologies to enhance project delivery.

Requirements

Minimum Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or other related fields.

At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in PHP Laravel backend development is preferred.

Proficiency in MySQL, with experience in writing complex queries and performance tuning.

Familiar with Git/GitHub and version control best practices.

Knowledge of Node.js or Python.

Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.

Experience in building AI chatbot applications or integrating external APIs is an advantage.
