Job summary

Axrail Pte Ltd is seeking a Backend Engineer to design and maintain scalable Python services, build RESTful or GraphQL APIs, and deploy serverless and containerised solutions on AWS.

This hybrid role welcomes fresh graduates with strong logical thinking as well as experienced developers (3+ years), with opportunities to grow into senior positions while shaping secure, high-performance cloud systems and exploring Generative AI innovations.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python; Flask not required, familiarity with AWS serverless or FastAPI is a plus.
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and Amazon CodeWhisperer is preferred.
• Fresh graduates passionate about cloud with strong problem-solving skills are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backend systems using Python.
• Build robust APIs (RESTful or GraphQL) to support frontend and integrations.
• Optimise backend services for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Deploy, manage, and monitor backend services on AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Design relational and NoSQL databases for efficient data handling.
• Implement secure coding practices for APIs and cloud services.
• Explore Generative AI tools and AWS innovations in the development workflow.
