Job summary

Axrail Pte Ltd is seeking a senior software engineer in Malaysia to design and build GenAI-powered applications on AWS Bedrock and Claude, with ReactJS front-ends and Python back-ends. You will lead junior engineers and drive architectural decisions in a cloud-first environment.

The role combines design with hands-on development, including API services, data stores (MySQL, MS SQL, DynamoDB, OpenSearch), and CI/CD automation, while promoting best practices and robust testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of software development experience using Python, web frameworks, AWS and GenAI.
• Minimum 2 years in solution architecture and technical design, covering application architecture, infrastructure (cloud) and DevOps.
• Experienced in database programming using MySQL, MS SQL, DynamoDB, or OpenSearch.
• Experienced in AWS cloud provisioning and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical design or solution architecture and oversee task assignments to junior engineers.
• Develop GenAI applications using AWS Bedrock, Claude, or other GenAI tools; craft prompts with analytical insight.
• Develop reusable UI components for a consistent portal look and feel.
• Develop API or backend software using Python with relational and non-relational data stores and AWS S3.
• Develop and deploy applications to AWS, scripting cloud provisioning where possible.
• Develop unit tests and CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects.
