Job summary

Axrail Pte Ltd in Malaysia is seeking a capable Full-Stack Engineer to architect and build scalable web applications end to end, from React/Next.js frontends to Python backends and cloud deployments.

You will work across frontend and backend, implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs, manage AWS deployments, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while writing unit tests and ensuring performance. A portfolio of production-grade apps is expected and AWS certifications or AI/ML experience are a plus.

Job description

Architect and build scalable web applications end to end: responsive UIs in React.js and Next.js with TypeScript, RESTful and GraphQL APIs in Python, plus AWS deployment and CI/CD pipelines. A portfolio of production-grade applications is expected.

As a Full-Stack Engineer at Axrail, you will architect and build performant, scalable web applications from front end to infrastructure.

Frontend engineering

• Develop responsive, interactive UIs with React.js or Next.js and TypeScript.
• Implement state management and performance optimisation techniques.
• Design RESTful and GraphQL APIs with Python.
• Implement authentication and authorisation (JWT, OAuth, Cognito).
• Develop microservices architecture for scalable solutions.

Cloud and DevOps

• Deploy applications on AWS (Lambda, ECS, EC2, S3) using Infrastructure as Code (CDK).
• Set up CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline.
• Nice to have: containerise applications with Docker and Kubernetes.

Quality and performance

• Write unit and integration tests with Pytest.
• Implement caching strategies (Redis, CDN).
• Conduct load testing and optimisation.

Technical stack

• Frontend: React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS.
• Backend: Python, with Node.js nice to have.
• Databases: MySQL, DynamoDB.
