Job summary

Astro Malaysia seeks a seasoned Data Scientist (AVP) to drive advanced analytics, ML, AI, and data-driven decisions across PayTV, Sooka, and Digital products. You will lead end-to-end data science solutions from problem framing to deployment, delivering measurable business impact.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with business acumen, translating complex data into actionable insights that boost acquisition, retention, revenue, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field.
• 10+ years of experience in data science, ML, analytics, or AI roles.
• Proven end-to-end data science project delivery from ideation to production.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, deployment, and improvement of predictive, prescriptive, and AI-driven solutions across customer lifecycle and marketing.
• Own the end-to-end ML lifecycle: problem definition, data sourcing, feature engineering, model development, monitoring, retraining, business impact.
• Mentor data scientists and analysts, and present insights to senior management.
