Job summary

Astro Malaysia is seeking an AVP of Business Systems & Applications to drive the operations, transformation and continuous improvement of content-related business systems across the broadcast and digital media ecosystem.

Leading the Content Engineering team, you will oversee platform capacity planning, governance, and delivery prioritization while driving AI-assisted workflows and automation to improve data accuracy and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience in information technology, engineering or related fields.
6–7 years in broadcast, media operations or content technology; led platform teams.
Experience guiding support engineers, analysts or small in-house development teams.
Proven expertise in agile delivery, backlog prioritisation and release coordination.
Knowledge of media/entertainment platforms, and metadata/content distribution workflows.
Working knowledge of MSSQL/MySQL and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Experience implementing metadata and AI-enabled workflows in media and entertainment.

Responsibilities

Lead operations, transformation and improvements of content-related business systems across broadcast/digital media.
Oversee BSS, AMS, MAM integrations, metadata delivery and AI-enabled workflows.
Translate business requirements into scalable workflow solutions and promote automation.
Govern governance, controls and compliance across content operations and AI use cases.
Act as delivery lead for Content Engineering systems portfolio, including capacity planning and maintenance.
