XPENG Motors is establishing its KD (knock-down) assembly operation in Melaka. As a Rework Technician, you will resolve vehicle defects found during and after assembly to ensure every unit leaving the line meets specification.
You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues, perform parts replacement, harness repair, and software flashing, while maintaining high-voltage safety standards and documenting actions for the quality system.

Diagnose and repair vehicle defects identified during assembly and at end of line — mechanical, electrical, and electronic.
Perform part replacement, harness and connector repair, and reassembly to standard.
Carry out software flashing and ECU upgrades using company diagnostic tools.
Conduct electrical inspection and fault-code diagnosis; verify repairs through functional testing.
Document each defect, root cause, and corrective action in the quality system; elevate recurring issues to the quality engineering team.
Support VES (Vehicle Evaluation System) checks and re-verification of repaired units.
Maintain workshop safety standards, including high-voltage safety procedures.
Diploma or certificate in Automotive, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent trade qualification.
Minimum 3 years of hands‑on vehicle repair experience — dealership service centre, authorised workshop, or vehicle manufacturing.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and interpret diagnostic trouble codes.
Experience with OBD or manufacturer diagnostic tools.
Working proficiency in English.
EV or hybrid experience, particularly high‑voltage battery systems.
High‑voltage safety certification.
Prior experience in a vehicle assembly plant.
