Job summary

XPENG Motors is establishing its KD (knock-down) assembly operation in Melaka. As a Rework Technician, you are the person who resolves vehicle defects found during and after assembly, so that every unit leaving the line meets specification.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing defects, performing part replacements, and carrying out ECU software flashing and electrical checks. High-voltage safety is essential, with emphasis on accurate documentation and quality checks.

Qualifications

• Ability to read wiring diagrams and interpret diagnostic trouble codes.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on vehicle repair experience.
• Working proficiency in English.

• Maintain workshop safety standards, including high-voltage safety procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma or certificate in Automotive, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent trade qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on vehicle repair experience — dealership service centre, authorised workshop, or vehicle manufacturing.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and interpret diagnostic trouble codes.
• Experience with OBD or manufacturer diagnostic tools.
• No colour blindness or colour vision deficiency.
• Working proficiency in English.

Advantageous

• EV or hybrid experience, particularly high-voltage battery systems.
• High-voltage safety certification.
• Prior experience in a vehicle assembly plant.
