Job summary

Fokus Group in Selangor, Malaysia, seeks an automotive technician to perform preventive, service, repairs and replacements per Repair Orders, efficiently and accurately.

The role requires strong diagnostic knowledge, customer handling, and teamwork, with English and Bahasa Malaysia fluency. You will train new technicians and participate in 5S and Kaizen activities in the workshop.

Qualifications

• Minimum Professional Certificate (e.g. SKM Level 1-3) or relevant automotive qualification.
• Strong diagnostic technical knowledge on automotive systems.
• Soft skills: teamwork, patient attitude, customer handling.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; computer literacy including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, service, repairs and replacement per Repair Orders within flat rate time.
• Carry out major repairs: engine, transmission overhaul, chassis and electrical engine management systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems and apply rectification techniques.
• Assist in maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
• Promote and maintain workshop safety and cleanliness; supervise shop floor activities.
• Assist ESH team with waste disposal and elimination within the service centre.
• Coaching and training of new technicians to Toyota standards.
• Participate in 5S, Safety, and Kaizen activities as directed by outlet management.
• Carry out any additional tasks assigned by supervisor with full cooperation.

Job description

To perform efficient preventive / service / repairs and replacement as per Repair Order instruction and within the flat rate time without that does not need rework.

To perform major repair's such engine, transmission overhaul, chassis and electrical engine management system related repairs.

To diagnose mechanical and electronic problems by applying rectification skill and fault finding techniques.

To assist in the maintenance of the service shop tools and equipment.

To promote and maintain workshop safety and cleanliness by supervising the entire shop floor activities including equipment and tool maintenance.

To assist the ESH team in ensuring the smooth disposal and elimination od waste generated by the service centre.

To carry out any additional task assigned by immediate superior with full cooperation.

To coach and train new technician and guide them to Toyota Standard.

To participate in 5S activity, Safety Activity, Kaizen activity conduct by management outlet.

Requirements:

Minimum Professional Certificate (e.g SKM Level 1, 2 or 3) or relevant qualification.

Strong diagnostic technical knowledge on automotive and customer handling skills.

Soft skills: Strong teamwork skills, compassionate and patient attitude.

Good command in both written and spoken in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Computer literate and proficiency in MS Office applications.
