Job summary

Bitauto.my is seeking an engaging Automotive Content Host to join our Kuala Lumpur team. You will represent our brand on camera, hosting content across TikTok, YouTube and offline events, including reviews and interviews.

The role requires strong on-camera presence, driving experience, and the ability to communicate automotive topics clearly and entertainingly. Willingness to travel within Malaysia and work flexible hours is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in hosting, presenting, livestreaming or public communication.
• Extensive driving experience and ability to describe vehicle performance.
• Proficiency in at least two languages among English, Mandarin Chinese, and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Good knowledge of automotive industry terminology.

Job description

We are looking for an engaging and confident Automotive Content Host to join our team in Kuala Lumpur.

You will represent our brand on camera and host automotive content across TikTok, YouTube and offline events. This includes short-form videos, long-form programmes, livestreams, vehicle reviews and interviews.

There is no strict requirement for a specific number of years of experience. If you understand cars, have hosting or on-camera experience, possess extensive driving experience and can make automotive content informative and entertaining, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Host short-form videos, long-form programmes, livestreams and vehicle reviews;
• Present new vehicle introductions, test drives, automotive knowledge, industry topics and lifestyle content;
• Conduct interviews with vehicle owners, industry professionals and brand representatives;
• Host or participate in vehicle launches, exhibitions, test-drive events and other offline activities;
• Communicate vehicle features and driving experiences in a clear, accurate and engaging manner;
• Participate in content ideation, topic selection and production planning;
• Collaborate with producers, videographers, editors and social media teams;
• Follow automotive industry developments, trending vehicles and social media trends;
• Support other automotive content and brand projects as required.

Requirements

• Good general knowledge of the automotive industry, including vehicle types, basic technical concepts and commonly used automotive terminology;
• Previous experience in hosting, presenting, livestreaming, interviewing or other forms of public communication;
• Extensive practical driving experience and the ability to clearly describe vehicle performance and driving impressions;
• A valid driving licence and a strong commitment to safe, responsible driving;
• Proficiency in at least two of the following languages: Mandarin Chinese, English and Bahasa Malaysia;
• Confident and natural on camera, with strong communication and presentation skills;
• Able to respond calmly and professionally in live or unscripted situations;
• Willing to participate in test drives, outdoor shoots, livestreams and offline events;
• Able to work flexible hours when required and travel within Malaysia for projects;
• A collaborative attitude, strong sense of responsibility and genuine enthusiasm for content creation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automotive media, vehicle review programmes, automotive brands or dealerships;
• Experience creating content for TikTok, YouTube or other social media platforms;
• Experience hosting livestreams or large-scale events;
• Ability to contribute to creative concepts, scripts and programme planning;
• Strong knowledge of automotive technology;
• An existing portfolio, showreel or relevant social media presence.

Automotive media experience is an advantage but is not essential. Candidates with strong presentation skills, automotive knowledge and extensive driving experience are encouraged to apply even if they have not previously worked in automotive media.
