Job summary

Emerson Electric Co. is seeking an NI Test Engineer to own and drive automated test solutions, integrating hardware and software for high-mix, high-quality manufacturing environments. You will collaborate across R&D and manufacturing to deliver robust test platforms and mentor junior engineers.

The role requires a strong EE background, proficiency in LabVIEW and TestStand, and a passion for advancing test technologies in a global, collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• B.S. in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or mechatronics engineering.
• Strong understanding of computers and high-level programming languages (LabVIEW, TestStand are an advantage)
• Sources of measurement error and instrumentation selection
• Statistical analysis of data
• Software design and architecture
• Integration of hardware and software
• Passion for learning about test industry technologies.
• Strong work ethic and drive to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Work with R&D software and hardware teams to design and deploy automated test solutions.
• Specify, design, test, and deploy automated test solutions for manufacture of computer-based instruments.
• Define project plans and milestones for test system readiness for product release.
• Integrate hardware and software to support manufacturing test for existing and new products.
• Develop test applications on desktop and industrial PCs.
• Review product specifications and customer documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge.
