Job summary

Emerson is seeking an NI Test Engineer to own and contribute to all aspects of product testing, collaborating with R&D teams across locations to deliver robust test solutions. The role involves developing automated test platforms that integrate hardware and software, supporting high-mix, high-tech manufacturing of computer-based instruments, and mentoring junior engineers while advancing test capabilities.

Qualifications

B.S. in electrical, electronics, or mechatronics engineering.
Strong understanding of computers and programming (LabVIEW, TestStand is an advantage).
Knowledge of measurement error sources, instrumentation selection, statistics, and software/ HW integration.
Passion for learning test industry technologies and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with R&D software/hardware teams in multiple locations to develop test solutions.
Specify, design, test, and deploy automated test solutions for manufacture of computer-based instruments.
Define project plans, milestones, and reviews to ensure test readiness for product release.
Integrate hardware and software to support manufacturing test for existing and new products.
Utilize programming to develop test applications on desktop and industrial PCs.
Review product specs and customer documentation; mentor junior engineers.
