Job summary
Techstreet Malaysia is seeking an Automation Engineer with a strong background in machine vision and robotics. The role involves developing software architecture for automation systems, implementing robust error handling, and supporting on-site troubleshooting at customer facilities.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields, at least 1 year in automation, and strong English; Mandarin is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 1 year experience in automation industry.
- Proficiency in English; Mandarin is an advantage.
- Knowledge of C, C++, or C#.
- Experience with machine vision and robotics preferred.
- Willing to travel overseas frequently.
- Strong communication and planning skills.
- Familiarity with debugging and testing software.
Responsibilities
- Monitor pre-project activities and development stages.
- Perform machine vision verification, validation, and performance evaluation.
- Develop software architecture for automation systems including I/O interfaces.
- Implement error handling, alarms, logging, and fault diagnosis.
- Identify issues and document risks promptly.
- Investigate root causes and devise practical solutions.
- Perform unit testing of software functions.
- Verify functionality against design specs.
- Use debugging tools for systematic code analysis and troubleshooting.
