Job summary

Karex Berhad, a leading condom manufacturer, is seeking a Maintenance/Automation Engineer to drive automation improvements and oversee repairs and upgrades across PLC, HMI, SCADA, and robotics systems. You will lead maintenance staff, provide technical training, and ensure equipment reliability throughout the plant.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronic/Automation or related field, with 1–2 years of manufacturing experience or fresh graduates encouraged

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a recognized Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic / Mechanical / Mechatronic / Automation / Control Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing or fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Well versed with control components such as pneumatic, motors, sensors, etc.

Responsibilities

• Continuous automation improvement by evaluating and recommending new technologies, equipment, and machinery to support the company’s growth and efficiency.
• Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and upgrading of machines and equipment to maintain optimal performance.
• Handle systems involving PLC, HMI (preferably Mitsubishi), SCADA, and Robotics.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and technical training to maintenance staff; develop the Engineering Department team.
