Job summary

Insulet Corporation in Malaysia seeks a Production Technician to operate and maintain highly automated manufacturing equipment for the OmniPod product platform. The role includes cross‑training across laser welding, heat staking, PCB handling, robotics, metal stamping, form/fill/seal packaging, and high‑speed assembly.

You will support production engineers, liaise with maintenance, and contribute to yield improvement, SOP updates, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Diploma in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial) is preferred.
Minimum 3 years’ experience as production/ process technician.
Experience in high‑volume manufacturing, preferably in cleanroom environments.
Data‑driven decision making and results oriented.
Fluency in English and Malay (minimum).

Responsibilities

Assist production engineers and liaise with maintenance for project management and yield improvement.
Monitor machine scrap trends and optimize production performance.
Conduct material side‑by‑side studies to evaluate material variation.
Record readings and data for machine‑to‑machine variation.
Review manufacturing scorecards with the team and drive improvement actions.
Support cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot and implement corrective actions.
Attend to production issues on a 24/7 basis when required.
Perform other duties as required.
