Job summary

Razer Merchant Services Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a database administrator focused on automation and reliability.

You will install, configure, and automate DBMS tasks, monitor performance, and implement automated backup, recovery, and security processes. The role involves documenting data models and collaborating to replace manual workflows with scalable automated solutions. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in database administration with a focus on automation.
Foundational knowledge of MariaDB, MySQL, SQL Server, Redshift, Cassandra, or Redis.
Experience with automated backup, recovery, and DR planning.
Experience with monitoring tools like New Relic or AWS CloudWatch.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for reducing manual bottlenecks.
Excellent communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain database management systems (DBMS) with automation.
Monitor and optimize database performance using automation to reduce manual work.
Develop and implement automated backup and recovery plans.
Manage database security and access control with automated protocols.
Troubleshoot and fix connectivity or data integrity issues via scripts.
Develop and maintain database documentation for future AI integration.
Ensure automated auditing and reporting to meet regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with IT to replace legacy workflows with automated solutions.
Perform database tuning and optimization with automated scripts.
Plan automated upgrades and migrations to minimize downtime.
Other duties as assigned.
