Job summary

HEINEKEN Malaysia is seeking an Automation Engineer to develop and implement preventive maintenance plans and drive uptime. You will manage CMMS data, monitor performance, and lead improvements across safety, quality, and equipment reliability within a manufacturing setting.

The role requires strong OT and process automation expertise, hands-on CMMS experience, and the ability to mentor technical teams. A degree in a related field and 5–8 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, Mechanical or related field.
• 5–8 years in maintenance engineering, automation, or asset reliability in manufacturing.
• Strong expertise in Process Automation and OT.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and asset reliability management.
• Understanding of IT systems and integration with automation platforms.
• Experience in spare parts planning, inventory management, and cost control.
• Hands-on CMMS and asset master data management.
• Knowledge of TPM, RCA, FMECA, and maintenance optimization tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for safety, legal, quality, and equipment reliability requirements.
• Manage asset master data, maintenance systems, and CMMS documentation for accurate planning and reporting.
• Monitor plant/equipment performance and drive uptime, reliability, and efficiency improvements.
• Execute maintenance improvement activities including breakdown analysis, restoration, modifications, and MOC.
• Support automation and digitalisation initiatives, including automation master plans and backup systems.
• Manage spare parts strategy, critical inventory, supplier agreements, and maintenance-related CAPEX.
• Mentor and train technicians on maintenance best practices, restoration, and troubleshooting.
• Drive TPM and continuous improvement initiatives through preventive maintenance optimization.
