Job summary

Firebytes (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter to join our project team in Johor. You will prepare and update engineering drawings for security systems, including Access Control and CCTV, working closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of drafting experience, strong AutoCAD skills (2D; 3D, BIM, or Revit a plus), and familiarity with ELV and security systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of drafting experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D; knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, BIM or Revit is a plus.
• Experience drafting for Electrical, ELV, Access Control, CCTV, or Security Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update engineering drawings for security systems (Access Control, CCTV, ELV, and integrated solutions).
• Create Layout Plans, Shop Drawings, Wiring Diagrams, and Single-Line Diagrams.
• Produce and maintain As-Built Drawings and revision history.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, site teams, and contractors for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure drawings comply with drafting standards and customer requirements.
• Update drawings based on site conditions and engineering changes.
• Assist with tender submissions and customer approvals.

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled AutoCAD Drafter to join our Porject team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and updating engineering drawings for security systems, including Access Control, CCTV, ELV, and other integrated solutions. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure drawings are accurate, compliant with project requirements, and delivered on schedule.

Interpret engineering sketches, technical specifications, and construction drawings to produce accurate drafting documentation.

Assist engineers in preparing project drawings for tender submissions, customer approvals, and construction.

Update drawings based on site conditions, design revisions, and engineering changes.

Coordinate with engineers, project managers, site supervisors, and contractors to ensure drawing accuracy and project compliance.

Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements.

Maintain proper drawing records, revision history, and document control.

Conduct site visits when necessary to verify measurements and update as-built drawings.

Support project documentation and other engineering-related tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum 2–3 years of relevant drafting experience. Fresh graduates with strong AutoCAD skills are encouraged to apply for junior positions.

Proficient in AutoCAD 2D. Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, BIM, or Revit will be an added advantage.

Experience preparing engineering drawings, layout plans, shop drawings, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and as-built drawings.

Experience in drafting for Electrical, ELV, Access Control, CCTV, or Security Systems is preferred.

Ability to interpret engineering sketches, technical specifications, and construction drawings accurately.

Good understanding of engineering drawing standards, symbols, dimensions, and documentation practices.

Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.

Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineers and project teams.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Willing to travel to project sites when required.
