Job summary

SH GAN & Associates is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join our external audit team in Kuala Lumpur. You will lead audit engagements, oversee fieldwork, and supervise junior staff while maintaining client relationships and high-quality delivery.

You will review financial statements, assess risks, and stay updated with MFRS/IFRS and auditing standards. Excellent communication and ethics are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant audit experience, preferably in external audit or large organisation audit function.
• Solid knowledge of financial reporting standards (MFRS/IFRS) and auditing standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to identify audit risks and control weaknesses.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute audit procedures on client financial statements in line with standards.
• Lead audit fieldwork and supervise junior staff, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Review internal control systems and assess risk of material misstatement.
• Prepare audit working papers and technical memoranda.
• Communicate audit findings to clients and senior management with actionable recommendations.
• Maintain strong client relationships and liaise with finance teams to resolve queries.
