Job summary

Ket & Co. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking audit/accounting professionals with a diploma or degree in accountancy and at least 3 years of experience. The firm values self-motivation, accuracy and reliability, and offers exposure to diverse client base across Malaysia.

Junior candidates are welcome; responsibilities will be discussed during interview based on experience, with supervision by audit managers and collaboration with colleagues to ensure quality service delivery.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute audit assignments per firm methodology and standards.

• Perform and/or review basic tax computations before managerial review.
• Participate in audit planning, client discussions and closing meetings.
• Liaise with clients on audit matters, documents, findings and adjustments.

Job description

Education: Minimum diploma and preferably with Bachelor's Degree/Professional Degree in Accountancy or equivalent;

Required languages: English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders;

Experience: At least 3 year of experience in audit/accounting (semi/seniors are welcomed);

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan, coordinate and execute audit assignments in accordance with the firm's audit methodology and applicable auditing standards;

Lead and supervise audit junior/semi-senior team members throughout audit engagements;

Review audit working papers prepared by junior team members and ensure that audit procedures are properly performed and documented;

Perform and/or review basic tax computations before submission for managerial review;

Participate in audit planning, client discussions and audit closing meetings;

Liaise with clients on audit matters, outstanding documents, audit findings and proposed adjustments;

Provide guidance, coaching and on-the-job training to junior team members;

Monitor the progress of audit assignments and ensure engagements are completed within the agreed timeline;

Provide ideas, professional views and recommendations during audit discussions;

Maintain effective communication with audit managers and partners on engagement progress, significant findings and outstanding matters; and

Work effectively as a team and contribute towards maintaining the firm's quality standards and client service.
