Job summary

ACCA Careers is looking for an experienced Audit Senior to lead engagements and manage a team of Audit Associates in Malaysia. You will perform audits for diverse industries, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and communicate findings with clients and partners.

The role requires staying updated with regulatory changes, reviewing work products, and contributing to process improvements. Willingness to travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have relevant professional accounting qualifications and board memberships.
• 3–5 years of experience in a professional accounting practice.
• Experience with CCH/Inflo systems is required.
• Audit experience in well-established professional services firms is a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for audit engagements.

Responsibilities

• Perform audit assignments for clients ranging from various industries.

• Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and other documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate professionally within the team and with external parties to gather information and make recommendations.
• Collaborate with audit partners and managers to resolve technical accounting and auditing issues as they arise.
• Travel to different states within and outside Malaysia for audit engagements.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as necessary.

• Perform audit assignments for clients ranging from various industries.
• Keep updated of changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure compliance with relevant requirements.
• Communicating professionally within the team and with external parties to gather information, resolve problems and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
• Travel to different states within and outside Malaysia for audit engagements.
• Collaborate with audit partners and managers to resolve technical accounting and auditing issues as they arise.
• Lead and manage a team of Audit Associate.
• Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and other documentation prepared by team members for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform ad-hoc duties (financial due diligence, Initial Public Offerings corporate exercise and etc.), as necessary.

The Requirements We Seek

• Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate, Bachelor’s Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Professional Degree in Finance/ Accountancy/ Banking.
• A member of ACCA/ MIA/ MICPA/ ICAEW or equivalent.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience gained in a professional accounting practice.
• Knowledgeable and experience on CCH/ Inflo System
• Audit experience in well-established professional services firms will be a given preference.
