Job summary

Assentsure Onestop Sdn. Bhd. in Johor Bahru is seeking a Junior Audit Associate to support our Singapore-based audit firm’s backend operations in a hybrid role.

You will work on a range of audits including IPOs for US listings, prepare working papers, and contribute to statutory and special engagements while developing your skills under mentorship.

Qualifications

• Relevant university degree in Accounting or Finance, with a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) or equivalent experience
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to think critically and identify key issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members
• Able to multi‑task, handle pressure and committed to deliver quality work within tight timelines
• Is a team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Fluency in English communications, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high‑quality work
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with experience in using audit software and data analysis tools
• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an external audit role

Responsibilities

• Performing IPO audits for US listing, PACOB audit clients listed in Nasdaq and NYSE
• Handle a variety of assurance and testing work for a portfolio of diversified clients in different industries. Assist in preparation of audit working papers and reports for review in accordance with applicable standards
• Be Responsible for performing audit financial statements including planning, fieldwork etc and prepare / review management accounts and financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), IFRS and US GAAP
• Gathering and analysing financial data, preparing detailed audit reports, and identifying areas for improvement
• Collaborating with clients to understand their business needs and provide valuable insights
• Assisting in the planning and execution of audit engagements, including risk assessment and audit strategy development
• Execute assigned audit procedures and support engagement completion, identify audit issues and concerns and communicate to the audit team
• Maintaining excellent client relationships and providing exceptional customer service
• Work closely with team members and adhere to the audit timeline. Constant communication with superior and clients with regards to job status
• Receive guidance, training and mentorship to aid in the career progression

About the role

Assentsure Onestop Sdn. Bhd. is seeking talented Junior Audit Associate / Audit Associate Level 2 to join our dynamic team in Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a hybrid role where you will support our Singapore-based audit firm’s backend operations, playing a significant role in assurance engagements and contributing to the growth and success of our expanding practice.

You will be exposed to a wide spectrum of audit work including SMEs, private entities, and subsidiaries of overseas-listed companies (including US-listed clients) for both statutory and special audit engagements.

What you'll be doing

Performing IPO audits for US listing, PACOB audit clients listed in Nasdaq and NYSE
