UHY in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Audit Associate / Audit Semi Senior to join the team on a full-time basis. You will support clients across various industries with high-quality audit and assurance services, performing fieldwork and contributing to reports and presentations.

The role offers opportunities to develop technical skills and industry knowledge through ongoing training and development, with a focus on delivering value and robust controls for clients.

Formación

• Recognised Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• PPA qualification is an advantage.
• 1–2 years in a professional accounting practice (for Senior/Semi Senior).
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge of audit methodologies and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with clear communication.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Associate / Audit Semi Senior to join our dynamic team in our Kuala Lumpur office. As a full-time member of our Audit team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients across a range of industries with high-quality audit and assurance services.

What you’ll be doing

Performing audit fieldwork and gathering evidence to support audit opinions

Identifying and evaluating risks and internal controls across client operations

Analysing financial statements and other key business documents

Preparing detailed audit reports and presentations for clients

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless client service

Providing recommendations to clients for process improvements and enhanced controls

Developing your technical skills and industry knowledge through ongoing training and development

What we’re looking for

Possess a recognized Degree in Accounting or equivalent (e.g. Professional Accountancy Qualification),

Where applicable, degree holders who are currently pursuing or have obtained a recognized Professional Accountancy Qualification will have an advantage,

At least 1 to 2 years of experience gained in a professional accounting practice (For Semi Senior position).

Strong understanding of audit methodologies, accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients at all levels

Proven track record of delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines

Proficient in the use of data analytics tools and Microsoft Office suite

Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for the audit profession
