Job summary

ACCA Careers is seeking an Audit Semi-Senior to manage statutory audit assignments for diverse clients in Malaysia. The role involves preparing working papers and financial statements, identifying risk areas, and liaising with clients.

You will also prepare tax computations and deferred tax provisions within financial statements. The ideal candidate holds ACCA/MICPA or a accounting degree, with 1–2 years of related audit experience.

Qualifications

• ACCA or MICPA full or part qualification, or bachelor’s degree in accountancy.
• 1–2 years of related audit experience for semi-senior; fresh graduates as junior encouraged.
• Extensive experience without the required qualification is welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of statutory audit assignments for clients across industries.
• Finish and prepare audit working papers and audited financial statements.
• Analyse and highlight risk areas for audit planning.
• Prepare tax computations and deferred tax provisions in FS.
• Complete assignments independently with minimal supervision and lead juniors on small audits.
• Liaise with clients on all aspects of audit assignments.

• Finishing and preparing of audit working papers and audited financial statements.


• Able to analyse and to highlight the risk area of attention for auditing planning.


• Preparing of tax computation and deferred taxation as provision to the financial statement.


• Able to complete the assignment independently with minimum supervision and lead audit juniors on small assignment.


• Liaise with clients on all aspects of audit assignments.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess full or part professional qualification of ACCA or MICPA, bachelor’s degree in accountancy or equivalent. At least 1- 2 years of related working experience for audit semi-senior. Fresh graduate is encouraged to apply as audit junior. Those with extensive experience but without necessary qualification are also encouraged to apply. Good communication skills, mature, pleasant personality and have good attitude towards work. Highly motivated with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines. Computer literate and knowledge on Audit Express software is an advantage. Proficient in MS. Office and Ms. Excel. Able to work on deadline-drive environment. Applicants should be Malaysian citizens.
