Job summary

The Everly Putrajaya is seeking an AV technician to set up and manage audio-visual systems for events in multiple function rooms. You will perform daily checks, connect guest devices, and provide on-site support during events.

You will assist with IT connectivity, coordinate with external AV vendors, and help with maintenance of equipment. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM / O-Level; Diploma or higher qualification in Engineering or related field is an advantage.
• Credit in SPM English and Mathematics is preferred.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
• Basic knowledge of AV equipment, sound systems, electrical equipment, or technical troubleshooting is an advantage.
• Positive, friendly, self-disciplined, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and operate audio-visual (AV) equipment for events across function rooms.
• Conduct daily AV system checks across function rooms and event areas to ensure all equipment, connections, and microphones are operational.
• Liaise with event organisers to connect and test guest devices, including laptops and presentation equipment, and provide on-site technical support during events.
• Assist with basic IT connectivity, including LAN cable setup and internet connection troubleshooting.
• Support event organisers and the Sales team during site inspections, event preparations, and last-minute event changes.
• Coordinate and monitor outsourced AV vendors when required.
• Assist with live band sound system setup, equipment configuration, and testing.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and maintain AV equipment in good working condition.
• Manage AV equipment rentals, maintain accurate usage and inventory records, and monitor consumable supplies.
• Set up and provide technical assistance for webcams and online meeting equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and 5S standards in the AV room and storage areas.
• Provide technical assistance during night shifts, including responding to fire alarms and assisting the maintenance team with equipment-related issues when required.

About you

Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays
