Job summary

ZALORA Malaysia is seeking a Health and Safety / Security Manager to support senior management across Southeast Asia. The role focuses on identifying and controlling SHEQ risks, delivering EHS best practices, and driving continuous improvement through training and audits.

Travel across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong and Taiwan will be required. You will lead safety initiatives, report on risk management, and mentor site teams to embed KAIZEN and robust safety cultures

Qualifications

• Technical degree in Occupational Health & Safety required.
• NEBOSH certification required as a minimum.
• DOSH membership or progression required.
• Minimum of three years' experience in health, safety and environment advisory role.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate implementation of ZALORA EHS Strategy and Risk Registers.
• Assist site management in developing Safety Action Plans for identified risks.

Job description

As a Health and Safety / Security Manager you will support the senior management team for regional operations based in Cluster Fulfilment Centre and the wider business in the identification, management and control of SHEQ related risks. To provide information, advice, guidance and support to managers on H&S and Environmental legislation and to disseminate EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) best practice throughout the business along with developing EHS awareness material. To identify any gaps in the Regional Environment , Health and Safety System in all operational sites and support in developing these areas. You will be a leader who will be driving EHS continuous improvement at all ZALORA ventures.

To identify weaknesses in safety performance and suggest methods of improvement in order to drive safety performance and cultural change by building safety into associated processes.

This role is regionally focused, primarily covering Fulfilment Centre sites in all ZALORA ventures including Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Hongkong and Taiwan but support and coverage of full ZALORA operational network as required therefore business travel will be required with overnight stays.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide competent health, safety and environmental advice to meet all appropriate legal and policy standards
• Facilitate the implementation of the ZALORA EHS Strategy and Risk Registers
• Assist site management in the development of site Safety Action Plans relevant to the safety issues/risks identified
• Report on key issues and progress against ZALORA EHS Strategy, Safety Action Plan and Risk Registers
• To provide information, advice, guidance and support to managers and regional committee members
• Provide EHS and technical support to site management teams across ZALORA ventures.
• Provide direction to site management in the investigations into relevant accident, incidents and injuries
• Analyse accident and incident performance for patterns and trends and advise management on appropriate corrective actions
• Direct operational teams with emergency planning and arrangements, including testing of emergency plans
• Assist Operational Teams in driving safety performance and safety culture by building safety into processes
• Develop training materials on relevant SHE issues to meet business need and mitigate associated risks
• Deliver SHE training to site teams, Safety Representatives and Representative of Employee Safety
• Monitor the outputs from audits/inspections/reviews and any corrective actions raised
• Coaching, mentoring and engaging with managers and team members to encourage and promote behavioral safety
• Identify any gaps in the Integrated Management System (IMS) and support in developing these areas
• Responsible for a number of sites within a Region of the ZALORA network
• Travel throughout ZALORA network of sites in Southeast Asia region
• Overall managing the facilities team and ensuring all facilities management in the FC aligned with our EHS & Security requirements .
• Responsible for managing our internal Fulfillment CSR team in which he/ she is directly responsible in due diligence of FC manpower agencies , regular audits to comply with RBA/ ILO standards .
• Regionally responsible for physical security management and systems -emphasizing coaching the regional teams with regards to loss prevention management , risk assessment for “Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design” CTPED and TAPA- FSR 2023 and responsible in revising the BCP regularly according to the identified risks.

• Strong leadership quality and stakeholder management. Creating a motivational environment, driving KAIZEN and influencing associates and managers towards EHS is expected for this role.

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English
• Computer literate in all Microsoft Office packages
• Good presentational skills
