Job summary

Howden Insurance Brokers Limited in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a client account handler to manage day-to-day servicing of property and casualty accounts, including renewals and client communications.

You will review coverage terms, liaise with insurers, and prepare proposals, endorsements, and billing information while maintaining accurate records and building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in insurance, actuarial science, economics, business management or related disciplines.
• Minimum 2-year of relevant working experience in a similar field.
• Possess relevant knowledge of the principles of General Insurance.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently on client management.

Responsibilities

• Review client insurance policies and prepare coverage comparisons, renewal strategies, and insurance proposals, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all insurance documentation.
• Liaise with insurers to obtain policy documents and coordinate the correction of any discrepancies, amendments, or endorsements.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through a thorough understanding of their business operations, risks, and insurance requirements.
• Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries from clients, insurers, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure quotations, memoranda of insurance, policy documents, and billing information are accurate, complete, and issued in a timely manner.
• Monitor premium collections, follow up on outstanding premiums, and ensure compliance with premium warranty and payment deadlines.
• Support the renewal process by preparing underwriting submissions and gathering relevant information from clients.
• Process insurance slips, quotations, indications, endorsements, and other related policy administration activities.
• Monitor clients' claims status and provide assistance in claims handling and follow-up where required.
• Responsible for any ad-hoc tasks assigned from time to time.
