Job summary

SC Johnson seeks an Associate, Entomology to contribute subject matter knowledge in biology and pest control to conduct product performance studies in laboratory or field settings and to analyze and report the results.

Under supervision, you will execute experiments, design robust studies, ensure lab safety compliance, support facility operations, and assist education efforts for internal and external customers, including demos and weekend support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological or entomological science.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience in laboratory setting.
• Rigorous precision in following standard protocols and adherence with a tightly defined schedule.
• Ability and willingness to work partial shifts on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned experiments and contribute to written reports summarizing findings.
• Assist in designing statistically robust experiments and analyzing study data in support of project deliverables.
• Responsible for efficacy lab safety compliance.
• Assist the entomology lead in maintaining and enhancing facility operations.
• Provide support for internal and external customer entomology education, including demos.
• Support rearing operations, as and when needed, including public holiday or weekend.
• Maintain and grow knowledge and skills in the field of entomology.

Summary: The Associate, Entomology, under supervision, will provide subject matter knowledge in biology and control of household pests to conduct product performance studies in a laboratory or field setting while effectively analyze and report the results.
