Job summary

SC Johnson is seeking an Associate, Entomology to apply biology and pest-control knowledge to conduct product performance studies in a laboratory or field setting while effectively analyzing and reporting the results.

Under supervision, you will design statistically robust experiments, analyze data for project deliverables, and assist in maintaining facility operations and education demos for internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or entomology or related field.
• Experience working in a laboratory setting.
• Must follow standard protocols with high precision.
• Ability to work partial shifts on weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Execute experiments and summarize findings in written reports.
• Design robust experiments and analyze study data for projects.
• Maintain lab safety compliance and facility operations.
• Support entomology education for internal/external customers.
• Assist with rearing operations as needed, including holidays.

Summary:

The Associate, Entomology, under supervision, will provide subject matter knowledge in biology and control of household pests to conduct product performance studies in a laboratory or field setting while effectively analyze and report the results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Executing assigned experiments and contributes to written reports summarizing findings.
• Assist in designing statistically robust experiments and analyzing study data in support of project deliverables.
• Responsible for efficacy lab safety compliance.
• Assisting the entomology lead in maintaining and enhancing facility operations.
• Provide support for internal and external customer entomology education, including demos.
• Support rearing operations, as and when needed, including public holiday or weekend.
• Maintain and grow knowledge and skills in the field of entomology.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree relevant fields of biological or entomological science.
• Experience in laboratory setting.
• Rigorous precision in following standard protocols and adherence with a tightly defined schedule.
• Ability and willingness to work partial shifts on weekends and holidays.
