Job summary

Baxter invites applications for a Global Intercompany Associate Accountant to join our Global Business Solutions team. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and insight across intercompany processes, collaborating with finance and non-finance teams worldwide.

You will prepare journals, reconcile balances, support eliminations, and assist with regional and global reporting. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and audit readiness in a dynamic, global finance environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience.
• Proven track record in a multinational environment and/or audit.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ability to apply it in complex scenarios.
• Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication skills - diplomatic, flexible, and a can-do mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review manual journals related to intercompany activity, ensuring accuracy and strong supporting documentation.
• Complete assigned intercompany account reconciliations in Blackline within established deadlines.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of intercompany balances across multiple entities and regions.
• Support eliminations during consolidation and provide clear explanations of variances.
• Partner with local country finance teams, responding to queries quickly and effectively.
• Provide audit support and ensure readiness for both internal and external reviews.
• Support regional and global reporting requirements, including monthly Balance Sheet and P&L flux analysis.
• Drive excellence in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, with a focus on intercompany transactions.
• Safeguard compliance by ensuring processes align with company policies, audit requirements, and local regulations.
• Contribute to local, regional, and global projects, bringing expertise and collaboration to cross-functional initiatives.
• Champion continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to streamline and elevate intercompany processes.

What You’ll Bring

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/CPA.
• Experience with JDE, Blackline, Alteryx, and W-Desk is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
• Flexibility to work additional hours at critical times (e.g., month-end) and, on rare occasions, public holidays.
