Job summary

Flex is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager to be based in Prai, Penang. You will oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution, lead staff, and ensure compliant, efficient operations that meet budget goals.

You bring at least a bachelor’s degree and 6+ years in production control, planning, warehousing or related areas, with supervisory experience and knowledge of FG/DOF operations and E-waste management. Attractive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in production control, planning, warehousing, or related area, including supervisory experience.
• Experience in FG / DOF operational activities for both internal and external warehouses.
• Experience in E-waste management.
• Demonstrates basic people and/or process management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Complies with local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Monitors volume of business and defines appropriate work schedule.
• Sets productivity and establishes necessary controls to ensure objectives are met.
• Monitors condition and maintenance of operating / material handling equipment.
• Constantly monitors the efficient handling of shipments and receipts to create an error free culture.
• Reviews the loading and unloading schedules to maximize efficiencies and reduce expenses.
• Coordinate floor cycle counts, physical inventory, and reconciling records.
