Job summary

MTDC is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President - MTDC Academy to lead strategic training ecosystems and talent development initiatives in Malaysia's technology sector. You will shape programme strategy, partnerships, and funding opportunities to strengthen the nation’s talent pipeline.

You will oversee end-to-end delivery, stakeholder engagement, and brand positioning for MTDC Academy, driving revenue growth and sustainable impact through collaboration with ministries, universities,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in management, TVET, business, entrepreneurship or related field (Master’s an advantage).
Minimum 10 years in TVET, training development, and entrepreneurship, incl. 5 years in mid-management.
Strong experience in business development, stakeholder engagement, and partnership monetisation.
Proven track record in proposal development and securing funded programmes.
Strong commercial acumen: programme costing, pricing, financial viability.
Wide network within training, TVET, and government ecosystem.
Strong facilitation, coordination, and programme delivery skills.

Responsibilities

Strategic Networking & Ecosystem Development: engage stakeholders, develop partnerships, participate in events, and convert opportunities into funded programmes.
Programme Implementation & Delivery Excellence: lead end-to-end training programmes, oversee onboarding, ensure quality and compliance, monitor KPIs and budgets.
Brand Positioning & Market Visibility: audit brand, define MTDC Academy identity, develop content and expand reach.
Business Development & Revenue Growth: manage pipeline across government and industry, lead proposals and monetise partnerships.
