Job summary

KPJ Penang Specialist Hospital in Penang invites applications for a hospital administration role supporting inpatient and outpatient admissions. The successful candidate will register patients, collect deposits, process guarantees, and assist with ward onboarding under safety and quality guidelines.

• Register inpatients and outpatients using KCIS.
• Collect deposits on admission and before surgery.
• Process guarantee letters.
• Escort patient/relative to ward on admission.
• Follow OSH Act duties and safety rules.
• Participate in new services as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with patient safety goals per WHO (2008).
• Uphold policies on Patient and Family Rights.
• Adhere to hospital policies, records, and accreditation standards.
• Adopt ISO 9001:2008/14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007, and Joint Commission standards as applicable.
• Perform any other duties as directed by supervisor.

1. JOB DESCRIPTION 1. Register inpatient and outpatients using KCIS system.
2. 2. Collect sufficient deposit from patients upon admission and before proceeds with surgery, if any.
3. 3. Process the guarantee letters.
4. 4. Accompany patient/relative to the respective ward upon admission.
5. 5. To carried out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994:- To take reasonable care at work for the safety of yourself and other persons; To co-operate with your employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty; To wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer. To comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health.
6. 6. Participate actively in any other new service that is introduced
7. 7. Ensure compliance of Patient safety goals as safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for Patient Safety (2008)
8. 8. Ensure the policies on Patient and Family’s Rights are addressed at all times.
9. 9. Ensure all Hospital policies and procedures and Hospital Accreditation are adhered to and records maintained, if and when these programs are implemented.
10. 10. Adopt the policies and procedures of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007, Malaysian Hospital Accreditation Standards and Joint Commission International Accreditation Standards
