Job summary

Universal Robina Munchy's (URM), part of Universal Robina Corporation (URC), is seeking an Assistant Sales Manager (General Trade) to lead sales operations for the General Trade channel across the assigned region.

You will collaborate with distributors, recruit and train Sales Reps, analyze market trends, and drive execution of sales plans while delivering strong results in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma Holder or higher.
• Minimum 3 years related experience with minimum 2 years sales experiences in sales operation management or distributor management.
• Experience in the FMCG industry is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Meet sales targets for the assigned region or distributor partner.
• Collaborate with distributor partners in recruiting and training Sales Reps for effectiveness.
• Understand market needs and develop business solutions to meet company and market requirements.
• Maintain relationships with existing and new customers; promote products.
• Prepare reports and analyses for monthly meetings and provide feedback on sales trends and opportunities.
• Ensure funds allocated are spent and tracked within the territory and that sales plans are executed on time.

The Assistant Sales Manager (General Trade) is responsible to ensure the sales operations for the assigned channel (General Trade) and region is effectively handled towards the achievement of company’s objectives.

What are the Job Responsibilities?

• Meeting sales target with assigned region or distributor partner
• Collaborate with distributor partner in recruiting and retaining Sales Rep including On Job Training to the team to be effective and efficient
• Proactively understand market needs and develop business solutions to meet the company and market’s requirements
• Meet and maintain relationships with existing and new customers
• Promoting existing and new products
• Building rapport with indirect customers by providing information, support, latest market information and recommendation of new opportunities
• Preparing reports and analysis for monthly meeting
• Provide feedback on sales trends and opportunities
• Ensure funds allocated are spend and track within the assigned territory or channel
• Ensure sales plan is executed as per plan
• Ensure speed to market are adhere to the agreed timeline
• Ensures best in class execution is being carried out at store level
• Work closely with cross function
