Job summary

TQS KONSULT PLT is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Malaysia. In this full-time role, you will provide comprehensive quantity surveying services across diverse construction projects.

You will assist with bills of quantities, cost estimates, tender documents, site measurements, quantity take-offs, and the review of contract variations and claims, while presenting data for internal and client meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Strong grounding in cost management, measurement, and tendering
• Ability to prepare BOQs, cost plans and cost estimates
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills; excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documents
• Conduct site measurements and quantity take-offs
• Review contract variations and claims
• Compile and present data for internal and client meetings; liaise with architects, engineers and contractors to coordinate cost-related matters
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation
• Provide technical support and advice to the project team

We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team at TQS KONSULT PLT. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive quantity surveying services to our diverse range of construction projects.

What you'll be doing

Assisting with the preparation of bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documents

Conducting site measurements and quantity take-offs

Reviewing and analyzing contract variations and claims

Compile and present data for internal and client meetings. Liaise with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure cost-related matters are well-coordinated

Maintaining accurate project records and documentation

Providing technical support and advice to the project team

Skills and Attributes Required

• Cost Control, Cost Management, and Cost Reporting skills
• BOQ preparation and Cost Planning skills
• Knowledge of Quantity Surveying principles
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying
