Highstar Energy Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks an experienced Quality Management professional to lead process control, in‑process inspection, and continual product improvement at our Kedah site.
You will maintain measurement equipment, organize quality activities, and drive ISO 9001/14001 compliance, requiring 8+ years in quality management and strong communication and training skills.
The role includes 6S and safety oversight, plus performance and cost management to align HR planning with operations.
1 Process Control & Improvement Responsible for in-process quality inspection, control, management, and improvement of products.
Responsible for maintenance and management of monitoring and measuring equipment.
Responsible for organizing and implementing various quality management activities.
2 Customer Complaint & Product Return Management Responsible for analyzing, handling, and filing customer complaints and product returns.
Responsible for formulating improvement measures and supervising their implementation by the production department.
3 Personnel & Training Management Responsible for promoting awareness and company culture among employees.
Responsible for managing employees' daily attendance and approving leave requests.
Responsible for developing departmental training plans, onboarding training for new employees, organizing skill assessments, and assisting HR with multi-skill training.
Allocate staff reasonably based on workload.
Provide guidance on test methods for employees
Manage department staff propose reasonable HR planning and staffing needs, and conduct exit interviews for departing employees.
4 6S & Safety Management Establish departmental 6S and safety management systems according to company requirements.
Monitor the implementation of 6S and safety management on-site.
Evaluate and immediately address 6S issues and potential safety hazards.
Establish and maintain documentation for 6S and safety management.
5 Performance, Salary & Cost Management Responsible for departmental manpower and position planning.
Prepare, review, and adjust job descriptions and departmental functions.
Collect workshop employees' performance data and conduct evaluations based on set indicators.
Develop performance improvement plans with employees and follow up on progress.
Assist in the calculation of performance-based wages.
Responsible for verifying workshop reward and penalty expenses.
Qualification Job Qualifications
Education Background Associate degree or above; majors in Chemical Engineering or Electrochemistry are preferred.
Skill Requirements Possesses strong organization, coordination, control, and communication skills; familiar with ISO 9001 and 14001 systems; proficient in quality tools and techniques; capable of conducting comprehensive quality management
Work Experience / Training Over 8 years of experience in quality management, proficient in applying quality management methods, and has received training in quality management systems
