Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad is seeking a Purchasing Clerk to handle requisitions, prepare and verify purchase orders, and monitor timely receipt of goods across our services. The role emphasizes cost-effective sourcing, supplier performance monitoring, and close collaboration with external suppliers to ensure satisfaction.

Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is required. The successful candidate will manage daily PO entries, keep records updated, support recycling efforts, and contribute to KPI

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma qualification.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English (spoken and written).
• Special Skills: Digital literacy and tech proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completeness of the purchase requisition on receipt.
• Prepare and verify purchase orders before submission and approval.
• Follow up on purchase orders and ensure timely receipt of goods.
• Submit purchase documents for payment verification.
• Enter daily purchase orders for consignment and Alliances.
• Monitor stock replenishment for cost-effective pricing without compromising quality.
• Source new suppliers and obtain quotations.
• Ensure competitive pricing and confidentiality in supplier dealings.
• Monitor supplier performance and update records.
• Communicate with suppliers to ensure satisfaction.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Responsible for covering the purchasing activities as designated in the general job description and to ensure the activities involved in are compliance to the set standards.

JOB DESCRIPTION

To ensure the completeness of the purchase requisition form upon received. To prepare purchase orders and to ensure correctness of the purchase order before submission and approval. To ensure the follow‑up of purchase orders, receipt of goods on time and meet the objective. To ensure purchase documents are completed in time for verification and submission for payment. Daily entering purchase orders for consignment and Pharmaserv Alliances Sdn Bhd. To monitor and ensure the replenishment of stock supplies for the assigned Services are of economic quantity and the best possible lowest price without compromising quality. To source for new suppliers whenever necessary and obtain quotations for the required items. To ensure pricing and related matters of suppliers are competitive and to ensure confidentiality. To monitor and review supplier performance and update new and existing suppliers. To communicate closely with external suppliers pertaining to purchase matters, including customers, in order to ensure satisfaction. To assist in records and other documentation updates. Responsible for carrying out recycling activities and minimizing waste. To ensure KPI performance objectives and standards are achievable. To perform any other duties as and when required by Management.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Education Minimum Diploma. Knowledge and Experience Minimum 1-year relevant experience. Proficient in spoken and written Bahasa Malaysia & English.
