Job summary

Heriot‑Watt University Malaysia is recruiting academics to teach Computer Science with emphasis on Data Science and/or Software Engineering. The role includes leading development of new postgraduate programmes for the Malaysia campus and fostering links with UK and Dubai colleagues.

English delivery is essential, with an induction on HWUM standards. The position is based at Putrajaya campus, with opportunities to contribute to research and high-quality teaching.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years teaching or training experience.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Teach, assess and mark on academic programmes; support colleagues across HWUM campuses.
• Develop new postgraduate degrees and courses for the Malaysia campus; contribute to curriculum design and delivery.
• Mentor and supervise students with timely feedback and pastoral support; ensure high-quality learning experiences.
• Develop subject expertise aligned with current research and update teaching materials accordingly.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Malaysia and other campuses to share learning and establish future collaborations.
