Job summary

Heriot-Watt University Malaysia is recruiting an Assistant Professor in Electrical and Electronic Engineering to deliver and develop the MEng programme. The role includes teaching, curriculum design and research with an emphasis on industry engagement and collaboration across HWU's international campuses.

The position is based on the Putrajaya campus, conducted in English, and offered on a three-year fixed-term contract.

Qualifications

PhD (or near completion) in Electrical Engineering is required.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (4-year programme) is required.
Formal training in higher education teaching (e.g. HEA Fellowship) is desirable.
Professional Engineer (CEng/PEng) is desirable.
Member of IET and IEM is desirable.

Responsibilities

Teach, assess and contribute to academic duties within the Electrical and Electronic Engineering programmes.
Deliver modules across topics such as Electrical Energy Systems, Electromagnetism and Power Systems.
Supervise undergraduate projects and contribute to project-based learning activities.
Develop and update materials to meet QA requirements and inclusive teaching approaches.
Support curriculum design, accreditation processes and programme administration.
Engage in research, publish and seek funding; collaborate with HWU global campuses.
