Job summary

Hong Leong Assurance, in Malaysia, is seeking an IT Business Analyst to support and troubleshoot our systems. You will translate business needs into system requirements and coordinate UAT with stakeholders.

The role includes involvement in Core System Transformation, data migration, and training end users. A Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related fields is required, with at least 3 years in life insurance operations.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have a bachelor degree and at least 3 years of experience as a business analyst in life insurance.

We are looking for candidate who can provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to our IT systems. You will be the go-to person for system-related issues, ensuring that our employees have seamless access to technology and helping us maintain system performance across the organization.

What you\'ll be doing:

Discuss with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirement.

Translate business needs into system requirements.

Prepare test cases and perform User Acceptance Testing to ensure desired results are achieved. All test results are to be documented.

Effective communication with various stakeholders, including business users, IT teams and vendor.

Involvement in Core System Transformation which includes data migration and testing to ensure smooth transition.

Provide user guide, system training/briefings to stakeholder.

What we required:

Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or any relevant disciplines.

Good understanding of Life Insurance industry and its operational processes.

Minimum 3 years working experience as business analyst, including involvement in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), or relevant experience in Life Insurance policy servicing and operations.

Strong interest in system-related initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as SQL query writing.

Self-motivated, proactive, and able to take initiative in carrying out responsibilities.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
