Job summary

iFAST Capital in Kuala Lumpur seeks an Assistant Manager, Compliance and Risk Management to develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls across the organisation.

You will monitor regulatory developments, provide advisory support to senior management on governance and risk issues, and prepare reports for regulators and the Board. The role requires strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Risk Management, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls to mitigate regulatory and operational risks.
• Provide compliance advisory and support to Senior Management and business units on regulatory, governance, and risk-related matters.
• Monitor regulatory developments and communicate updates to employees in a timely manner.
• Conduct compliance monitoring, surveillance, and testing to assess adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports to regulators including the Securities Commission Malaysia, Bursa Malaysia, and Bank Negara Malaysia.
• Present compliance reports to Senior Management, Risk Committee, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
• Assist in Board and Committee meetings coordination and liaison with Company Secretary on governance matters.
• Design and deliver compliance training to promote regulatory awareness across the organisation.
• Advise on Unit Trust Management and securities laws in advising the business and performing oversight.
• Act as liaison with regulators, external/internal auditors for inquiries and inspections.
• Perform ad-hoc compliance duties as assigned.
