Job summary

GAMUDA, based in Malaysia's Selangor region, is seeking a Civil Engineering professional to lead engineering concept reviews, drawings assessment, and design optimization across development projects. The role involves coordinating with engineering consultants, ensuring compliance with ISO 14001, and driving environmental sustainability within the department.

• Degree in Bachelor of Civil Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Shortlist consulting engineers for engagement and evaluate proposals.
• Review development’s engineering concept with engineers.
• Ensure drawings review and design optimization objectives are achieved.
• Demonstrate leadership for the overall implementation of the quality and environmental management system.
• Ensure departmental environmental sustainability target/KPI are monitored and reported periodically.
• Assign environmental responsibilities or authorities for relevant roles within its department and maintain documentation.
• Take ownership for departmental processes and ensuring relevant environmental procedures are retained/updated and conform to ISO 14001.
• Comply with applicable legal and other requirements.
• Adhere to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment requirements related to the job scope and workplace.
• Any other duties assigned by Management.

Job Summary

• Responsible for all engineering related development concept, drawings’ review and design optimization.
• Responsible for the engineering consultant’s procurement and evaluating their performance.

Key Responsibilities

• To shortlist the consulting engineers of the particular discipline to be invited to submit their services, financial proposal and to recommend the consulting engineers for engagement.
• To review the development’s engineering concept with respective engineers.
• To ensure drawings review and design optimization objectives are achieved.
• To demonstrate leadership and commitment for the overall implementation of the quality and environmental management system in the department / project.
• Ensure departmental environmental sustainability target/ KPI are monitores and reported periodically.
• Ensure applicable environmental responsibilities or authorities for relevant roles within its department are assigned, communicated and maintained as documented information.
• Take ownership for departmental processes and ensuring relevant environmental procedure and record are retained/ updated and conforms to the ISO 14001 requirement.
• To comply with applicable legal and other requirements.
• To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the Company.
• Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management.
