Description

The IT Procurement & Inventory Assistant Manageris responsible formanaging the end‑to‑end procurement lifecycle of IT hardware, software, and services, while ensuringaccurateand efficient IT asset and inventory management. This role supports budgeting, vendor negotiation, contract management, lifecycle planning, and compliance with organizational policies. The position works closely with IT operations, finance, and vendors to ensure cost‑effective andtimelyprocurement aligned with business needs

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the procurement of IT hardware, software, licensing, and services.
• Evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing, and prepare procurement recommendations.
• Review and draft procurement documentation including RFQs, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor proposals according to company policy and compliance requirements.
• Conduct market research to identify cost‑effective solutions and technology trends.
• Oversee end‑to‑end inventory processes including receiving, tagging, tracking, and asset disposal.
• Maintain accurate IT asset records in asset management systems (e.g., ITAM tools).
• Manage stock levels for computers, peripherals, network equipment, and consumables.
• Conduct periodic asset audits and reconcile variances.
• Support lifecycle planning for IT equipment (deployment, refresh, retirement).
• Assist in preparing annual IT procurement budgets.
• Track spending, forecast upcoming procurement needs, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Maintain documentation related to contracts, warranties, licenses, and renewals.
• Communicate procurement status, risks, and timelines to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Certifications preferred (e.g., ITIL, CSCP, CITAM/SAM, or procurement certifications).
• 4–7 years of experience in IT procurement, supply chain, or IT asset management.
• Experience with IT hardware/software procurement and vendor negotiations.
• Familiarity with ITAM tools, ERP systems, and procurement platforms.
